On Wednesday, August 7th, a ceremony was held that officially transferred the leadership and control of Small Circle Jujitsu from Prof. Wally Jay to his son Leon Jay. The dinner ceremony was held close to Prefessor Jay's home at Alameda High School. The judo program at the school has long been supported by Prof. Jay and his dojo the Island Judo Jujitsu Club. A large number of friends and family attended the ceremony, most of which had trained with Professor Jay. Sensei Miller from Portland Small Circle Jujitsu drove down to attend the ceremony. Sensei Miller thought that the ceremony went well and that everyone who attended the historic evening enjoyed themselves. Professor Jay looked good, and even had time to put a few locks on Sensei Miller.
